Do you have a favorite childhood movie? For me, it’s Letters to Juliet, a film set in Verona. It tells the story of two women on a journey across Italy to reunite with "the one that got away."
For my movie poster, I chose to depict the scene where they use a map, marking potential locations with pin-ups in their search for a lost loved one.
I aimed for a minimalistic design, using a simple color palette of red, black, white, and beige. To enhance the overall mood, I incorporated a paper-based texture and subtly integrated heart elements without making them feel cliché.
As for my typography, I wanted to use script type to represent the familiarity of handwritten letters. The rest of the fonts were used for crediting the movie and to compliment the display type.
